DAMAS: Dental Appliance Manufacturers Audit System
Peterson Dental Lab is one of only 25 laboratories in the US to have an active DAMAS certification, and 1 of only 3 in the state of Florida. This certification is based upon ISO principles but is geared specifically for the dental lab industry. It also closely mirrors the U.S. Food and Drug Administration’s Quality System/Good Manufacturing Practices (QS/GMP) specifications. Simply put, Peterson Dental Lab produces what it says we produce and we can prove it because of our Quality System.
TEREC: Technical Research Consortium North America
We are proud to be a part of TEREC, a consortium of independently owned dental laboratories throughout the United States and Canada. TEREC is similar to a “Master-minds Group." The group works together to bring dentists the collective mindshare of 15 laboratories and over 1,000 employees working as one. Many industry manufacturers, distributors and KOL’s look at TEREC as the key opinion leader in the dental laboratory community and seek out its members' advice. In today's fast-paced digital world, it is paramount for laboratories to work together to learn about new processes and gauge perspectives together as we migrate through an industry that is evolving in automation and digital case submissions. Chris Peterson serves as TEREC’s Technical Committee Director, where Mike Peterson is also a committee member.
FDLA (Florida Dental Laboratory Association)
We are proud members of the FDLA! The association provides education, is a voice to legislative and government regulations, communicates important industry news and provides great business services to its members. Chris Peterson (Peterson Dental Laboratory’s Vice President) is President-Elect and Jenny Van Eyk is a director on the board for 2021.
